Erol URGUN - Engineering March - 1985
The poem, which won first prize in a competition held at the end of 1985 while the Engineering School Officer Basic Course was in session, was adopted as the anthem of the Engineering class, which previously had no composed or sung anthem. It was composed by Engineering Lieutenant A. Haluk OĞAN and Engineering Lieutenant Semih GÖNÜLLÜ, who were serving their military duty at the same location. For 38 years, it has continued to be sung at oath ceremonies and training sessions for soldiers, and at graduation ceremonies and training sessions for the Engineering School.
ENGINEERING MARCH
My nation wrote its epics of victory with its blood.
We know no stopping, we will not be brought to our knees until the enemy comes to our knees.
It will write its heroes into history once again.
Martyrdom and being a veteran are as close to us as life itself.
