SUPPORT FOR THE FAMILY OF MARTYR POLICE CHIEF DURSUN ACAR IN PURCHASING A HOUSE: İzmir Takes Care of Its Martyr's Legacy. A protocol was signed between the İzmir Governorship and the Nevvar Salih İşgören Foundation to provide support to the family of Police Chief Dursun Acar, who was martyred during the attack on the Ankara Gölbaşı Special Operations Department during the FETÖ coup attempt on July 15th, in purchasing a house. The signing ceremony, held at the Governorship, was attended by İzmir Governor Erol Ayyıldız, İzmir Police Chief Hüseyin Aşkın, İzmir Family and Social Policies Director Nesim Tanğlay, and members of the Nevvar Salih İşgören Foundation's board of directors. Erol Urgun, Chairman of the Nevvar Salih İşgören Foundation's Board of Directors, stated that as a nation, they consider the families of martyrs as the most sacred trust. "We consider it our duty to support the families of our martyrs. We commemorate Dursun Acar, who was martyred on July 15 while serving as a branch manager in the Special Operations Department, with respect and gratitude," he said.
