The Nevvar Salih İşgören Foundation, established by the late philanthropic businessman Salih İşgören and a pioneer in İzmir through its donations in both social and educational fields, has once again undertaken an important social aid activity.
The Nevvar Salih İşgören Foundation signed a protocol with the İzmir Governorship and the İzmir Provincial Police Department to provide financial support to the family of Branch Manager Dursun Acar, who was martyred on the night of July 15 while on duty at the Special Operations Department in Gölbaşı, Ankara, for the purchase of a house.
A protocol regarding the study, which was realized through the initiatives of the Izmir Governorship, was signed at the Governorship.
The ceremony was held.
The ceremony was attended by İzmir Governor Erol Ayyıldız, İzmir Police Chief Hüseyin Aşkın, Provincial Director of Family and Social Policies Nesim Tanğlay, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nevvar Salih İşgören Foundation Erol Urgun, and Vice Chairman Nurettin Memur.
Following the ceremony, Erol, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nevvar Salih İşgören Foundation, made a statement.
Urgun stated, "Under the patronage of our Governor of İzmir, Mr. Erol Ayyıldız, we have gathered again for another extremely important social activity. As the Nevvar Salih İşgören Foundation, in our aid activities this year, we are prioritizing the families of the martyrs and veterans of July 15th, the families of our martyred soldiers, and the families of our security forces who selflessly performed their duties. We see the families of our martyrs as a trust left to us as a nation, and we consider it our duty to support them. Here, we once again commemorate Dursun Acar, who was martyred while serving as a Branch Manager in the Special Operations Department on July 15th."
